Maple Class – Year 4

Hello and welcome to Maple Class.

Mrs Bunkham is our teacher.

Mrs Vanoli is our Learning Support Assistant.

Our Autumn topics are the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. We visit Winchester Cathedral where we have the chance to handle some replica artefacts, amongst other fun learning opportunities. During our Science lessons we learn about living things and their habitats. We are so lucky to have school grounds with a variety of habitats for us to explore first hand and as such we will be making the most of our school grounds to look at habitats throughout the year.

We also learn about teeth and eating. DT lessons will involve designing, making and eating!

Our Spring topic work is centred around Volcanoes and earthquakes. We explore changes of state in our science lessons. In the Summer our topic is Flight and in Science we learn about sound and electricity.

To top it all we lead the Paschal Performance and go away on our first school residential!
